A SACK OF NEW IDEAS – 2004 – 50×70

A colored cloth dominates the composition assuming all the colors of the sky, from pink to orange. The full shape and the lightness with which it seems to rise in flight make us thinking it has been inflated of air. The Painter giving a title to the work points out the true nature of its content: the ideas, the imagination that is able to transform the reality, forging the objects with different shapes, up to melt them, as it happens between the cloth and the clouds. The surrounding atmosphere seems to allude to the artistic melancholy of Baudelaire: on the thin border among real and surreal all the objects of the universe assume a proper sense. So that in the horizon a pen seems to lay down, a train on the thread of an ideal sea.
