The dramatic representation of an accident in the sea following the throwing of the anchors from a boat is the protagonist of the picture, that breaks itself into two conflicting movements. The sea backdrop is characterized by fantastic and surreal lines, that play on the opposition between brilliant colors and deep pathos for the scene in progress. Upward the realism of the sea scenery impends on the turtles, that are captured in a prospective and ascendancy movement toward the surface.
