THE LITTLE ESCAPE – 1989 – 40×50
Women’s emotions go also through what they wear. Looking at the scene described in the painting, you can feel the sensibility of the Painter’s muse at the first sight: the dark haired woman, her mysterious colours and as delicate eyes as the fur she wears, that is made of white chicks, united and composed in a soft mantle. Details are deeply described, it deals with the theme of art-in-the-art, that is a representation of a painting and the actual subject appears in this second one. Exploiting this technique, the Painter succeeds in describing the scene of the escape of a little chick from the mantle, as he would wake up from an artistic sleep that becomes truth.
