THE SLEEPER – 2013 – 60×120
The Painter works again on the animal topic and particularly on the compositions of chicks to represent a cat sleeping on the armchair of the house that hosts it. The kitsch furnishings strongly opposes to the explicit delicacy of the animal, that seems to be picked in a crucial moment of its rest. The chicks that constitute the hair gather together along the body, up to the tail, the point in which the composition has been interrupted and you can see some shells opening, other key element of the art of Perversi, for which the egg symbolizes the creative birth. The metaphor expressed by the Painter is the recurrent idea, the fervent creative vein that also maintains the mind active during the sleep and identifies the artistic personality during the years.
